ZITO MALES AD PIG FARM BEROVO, since 01.07.1998 is an independent joint stock company registered by Treg 365/98, unique register number 5218152, main activity 020140, production and pig breeding (for meat and breeding).

ZITO MALES AD BEROVO is a legal follower of POS AK MALES BEROVO, which with the transformation of the social capital has divided itself in 2 subjects: AD Zito Males pig farm and AD Males export Berovo.

THE PIG FARM was built in 1979, with a year capacity of 15.000-bred pigs. For its over twenty years of work and existence, it has changed its legal status for several times. From 1975 until 1985, it works as a part of ZIK MALES BEROVO, as OOZT; in 1986 as OOZT in WO KIF MAKEDONIJA Sveti Nikole; at the beginning of 1987 it separates itself as an independent WO "Stockbreeding" Berovo, since 1988 it's under liquidation, from 1989 as a part of ZIK Males Berovo, then POS AK Males Berovo, and from 01.07.1998 as a JOINT STOCK COMPANY.
ZITO MALES AD PIG FARM BEROVO has begun its work in 1998 with 18 employees. Now it has 27 employees, 4 with University degree, and the rest with high school education, high and low qualifications.

AD has objects on the area of 11509 m², such as: the management building, garages and workshops, B phase - 2 subject of 3 halls, the breeding objects 6 x 2 halls, 1 object for gilts, 1 breeding - waiting of 2 halls, 1 breeding - yield of 2 halls, suitable for pigs breeding, with capacity of 15000 breeding pigs.

AD ZITO MALES PIG FARM Berovo disposes with parent herd (condition 30.06.2002) of 778 pigs, as:

• sows: 664
  
• gilts: 117
  
• boars: 17

The production per year goes around 9000-bred pigs, and the farm's capacity is 15000 breeding pigs.

ZITO MALES AD BEROVO is characteristic for the donation from the Government of Holland of 350 gilts and 50 boars, which should replace the current parent herd and the produced new pigs of the Holland gilts. The realization of the donation from the Government of Holland is - 175 gilts and 24 boars arrived in august 2001, and the rest should arrive in august 2002. As a part of this donation is the laboratory for artificial insemination of pigs, which opens an opportunity for Zito Males to be REPROCENTER for daland breed not only for Macedonia, but for the Balkan also.

The aim is from the new gilts to produce our proper herd and F1 guaranteed parent herds for the Pig farms in Vinica i Stip.
We suppose that the project will be completely realized - the donation from the Government of Holland, thanks to the cooperation with the Holland Government through the firm TOPIX, the managing team of ZITO VARDAR Veles and the expert associates from the Faculty of Agriculture - Skopje.
